Here is a list of different jazz manouche group formations, ranked by the number of musicians, from a solo guitar/vocalist to a full quintet:

1. Solo Guitar/Vocalist

One musician: guitar and vocals (with a looper).
Ideal for an intimate and warm ambiance, perfect for small ceremonies or quiet moments during the wedding.

2. Duo Jazz Manouche

Two musicians: 2 guitars or guitar/violin.
Perfect for a cocktail reception or a small gathering, offering a beautiful harmony between the two instruments.

3. Trio Jazz Manouche or Traditional Jazz

Three musicians: 2 guitars (or guitar + violin/sax), and double bass.
An excellent choice for a perfect balance between melody and rhythm, ideal for animating a cocktail reception or a small event.

4. Quartet Jazz Manouche

Four musicians: two guitars, violin, and double bass.
Offers a more complete sound, making it the ideal group to create a full atmosphere, ranging from romantic to dynamic and festive.

5. Quintet Jazz Manouche

Five musicians.
The perfect jazz band! Ideal for capturing the spirit of Django’s era, offering a romantic, festive, and lively atmosphere with a wide musical variety suitable for cocktail receptions or kicking off the dance party.
